This year, Ethel Phillips basketball team has started the season
with a victory over the defending champions from Harkness
elementary school. Then the very next game the Dragons took
advantage of a young team from Maple elementary.
This season looks to be a very positive season. The
coaching staff this season has included Mr. Joe, Mr. Acton and
most recently our new parent volunteer and coach Mr. Alvin.
Students have also used the new uniforms provided by La Superior
SuperMarket during this run of victories. Thanks for
all the support.
Over the past three years, Ethel Phillips has participated in
several sports with eligible students competing with students
from several other neighboring schools.

Ethel Phillips tiene varios programas y recursos disponibles para
los estudiantes y sus familias. Un programa especial es el
Programa Alternativo Bilingüe también conocido como Programa
Bilingüe de Transición Temprana. Este programa se está
implementando actualmente en la escuela Elemental Ethel Phillips
del Distrito Escolar de Sacramento.
La meta del Programa de Transición Bilingüe es la transición de
los estudiantes a clases de solamente ingles en el cuarto grado y
adelante.
